Every Monday and Wednesday night, Big Rock Little Rooster transforms from a bridal boutique into an exercise room. The couture gowns that line the racks in the chic Short North Shop are wheeled away to make room for the brides-to-be who are regulars at a workout party hosted by trainer Jen Borman.

She's designed the "Rock Hard Girls Club" circuit-training program for women that involves cardio, weights and core work. "Each workout is total-body," she said. "I provide weights and mats."

Her first class session in January was such a hit with local women that Borman added more this month. The workouts are offered on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 to 7 p.m. at 654 N. High St., and are open to anyone looking for a fun workout (non-brides included). If you're looking to shape up before your wedding, though, Borman recommends training at least six months in advance. The cost is $15 per class, or $50 for four. To reserve a spot, contact Borman at or call 614-920-0441.
