Name: Keyona Gore
Residence: Canal Winchester
My story: I've been designing since I was 7 years old. I started designing my Barbie's clothes, sketching them out and making them with socks or old clothes that my mother let me cut up. As I got older, I began to make my own clothing for myself and my three children. I've been to school for graphic design and drawing. My next adventure is going to be going to CCAD for fashion design. I released my first collection in November 2013. Fashion design has always been a passion of mine since I was younger, so I wanted to make it my actual career.
Personal style: A mixture of girly & boyish punk, urban/hiphop-it just depends on the day and how I'm feeling.
Style icon: I really don't have one, but if I had to pick it would be a mix of will.i.am and Fergie.
True style is… being yourself.
Inspiration for this collection: Every single design I make comes from my dreams-directly out of a dream that I've had. I wake up and sketch out what I saw.
Biggest challenge in creating this collection: Timing. I suck at timing.
Are items shown in this collection for sale? Yes, they are for sale, but I haven't set price points yet.
Do you do custom work? I definitely do custom work-price points just depends on what you want and the fabric I use.
