The much-anticipated Short North Anthropologie is readying to open its doors on Friday, Oct. 10.

The store, which deals in whimsical and romantic women's clothing and accessories and unique home décor items, occupies more than 5,000 square feet and takes up the first and second floors of The Joseph, the new building at 625 N. High St.

"As a brand that celebrates art and design, we are thrilled to have the opportunity to contribute to the vibrant, creative community," the brand wrote in a release.

In typical Anthro fashion, reclaimed elm barn doors, a grand staircase and other rustic touches will fill the space. A visual team also handmade a fall window display of tree leaves cascading from their branches.

Hours will be 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday to Saturday, and noon to 6 p.m. on Sundays.

Anthropologie, headquartered in Philadelphia, was founded in 1992 and has a total of 193 stores spread across the U.S., Canada and the U.K. (It's owned by Urban Outfitters, which also runs Free People, BHLDN and Terrain.) Its only other Columbus location is at Easton Town Center, across from Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant at 4235 The Strand.
