The New Albany community wellness facility to offer fitness activities, cooking demos and more
Have you stopped by the new Philip Heit Center for Healthy New Albany?
The brand new community wellness facility, located at 150 W. Main St., opened in late 2014 and will welcome the public at an open house on Jan. 24, from 1 to 4 p.m.
The 55,000-square-foot center will offer tours, demos and health activities throughout the day, and the first 200 people in the door will take home hats and promo items. No RSVP required.
Expect a hybrid of health services, fitness activities and equipment at the Heit Center-a result of a collaboration with the city, the New Albany Company, Healthy New Albany, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Nationwide Children's Hospital. From primary care and physical therapy to a warm water exercise pool, group fitness classes, cooking demos and wellness speakers, it aims to be a one-of-a-kind experience for those looking to improve their health.
