Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio hosts annual Condom Couture Fashion Show
Sketches of looks being designed for the Condom Couture Fashion Show
It's not every day that you get to see fashion made with latex condoms.
But on Feb. 18 at Shadowbox Live, the Condom Couture Fashion Show will feature latex-laden designs from 12 Ohio students.
Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio hosts the event each year in conjunction with National Condom Week to raise awareness about condom use. The organization provided the 12 designers, from CCAD and Kent State University, with 850 latex condoms to use in their look.
Local community leaders will model the designs, which will be rated by three local judges.
Natalia Fedner, a Bexley native and one of the finalists on season one of Project Runway: Under the Gunn, will also design a special dress for the event.
Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $50 for standing room, $150 for silver (includes open bar and tiered seating), $375 for gold (includes entrance to sponsor reception, special seating and name in the program) and $750 for platinum (includes a quarter-page ad in the event program, entrance to reception and special seating).
