Seven judges saw roughly 85 looks from 22 student designers this morning at the Columbus College of Art and Design's jury selection show.
The judges, including Leal's Connie Leal Ballenger, Wardrobe Therapy's Elizabeth Bean Smith, Capital Style's Kristy Eckert and other industry professionals, had a chance to get up close to the student's work and hear more about their vision.
The designers took inspiration from a variety of places, including the weightlessness of outer space, the mystery of black magic and the intricate beauty of traditional Japanese kimonos. Pictured above and below are detail shots of a few of the looks.
Early next week, CCAD will announce the students whose work will walk the runway at the Senior Fashion Show, happening May 8.
