Classic Style
A pompadour-inspired hairstyle is a
great way to pull in the vintage theme
from the moment you walk down the
aisle. On the bride, Alvina Valenta gown,
$3,250, and Alvina Valenta bolero, $395. Royal Guests
More than two dozen roses were
hand-glued to the backs of chairs by
florist Bart Krogman in order to add a
romantic surprise. First Impressions
Scalloped lace edging and a satin ribbon on the invitations
are designed to mirror the details of the gown. Eye Candy
"Build layers of color from the bottom up," Krogman said.
Stacking plates and glassware with a variety of edging and
color creates interest. Layers of Lace
A Victorian-style cake-dusted with 22-karat gold leaf and
topped with pulled-sugar flowers inspired by the gown-is
given a modern feel and extra interest by dividing the four
tiers into different heights. Inside it is Italian cream with
raspberry and chocolate filling. Recept ion Ready
Show you're ready to rock the reception
by transforming your hair with bold
curls. Dramatic, red lips nod to vintage
Hollywood glam.
