Meet Beve Six, an East Side grandmother who had never had a manicure or professional hairdo. She's thrilled with her new look.
Capital Style is teaming with several local style experts to transform one deserving woman in each issue this year. Meet the first-Beve Six. She's an East Side grandmother who had never had a manicure or professional hairdo. Now, she's thrilled with her new look. "I'm 57 years old and I have never been pampered like this before," she says. The most exciting change for her? Her hair. "I absolutely love it." she says. "The whole experience has been fantastic, and I have had so much fun."Who Did What
Skin Treatments at Sullivan Centre: With a goal to improve the texture of the skin, Beve had microdermabrasion on her face, along with Intense Pulse Light and a Juvederm injection. A follow-up appointment allowed for a skin peel.
Spa treatments at Woodhouse Day Spa: Beve started off with a Seaweed Cellulite Wrap, which helps rid cellulite in the thighs and hips and improves circulation. She also had a Seasonal FarmHouse Fresh Cinnamon-Honey Manicure with a Geleration gel polish.
Hair at J. Bentley: LeAnn Klein at J. Bentley Studio & Spa cleaned up Beve's length by adding some layers for texture and movement. She also increased dimension with the hair color by matching it to Beve's base color.
Makeup at Mukha: Tim Maurer, owner of Mukha Custom Cosmetics & Medi-Spa, amped up Beve's eyes by adding real hair lashes, which last for three to four days at a time. He also created a custom lip gloss for Beve called Peggy's Wish, in honor of her daughter.
Clothing from Boho 72: "Beve is very much an apple body type," explains Jamie Mollwitz, owner of Boho 72. "So what we are trying to camouflage is the mid-section. We're looking for something to show off her assets." The denim allows Beve to be comfortable for an evening of bowling (one of her favorite activities) or spending time with her family.
Accessories from Audacious Boutique: A necklace, matching hoop earrings and bangle bracelets form Audacious Boutique added the perfect touch of glamour to Beve's outfit.
Shoes from Thread on Grandview: Beve donned Rebecca Minkoff booties. "It adds a little bit of detail to the outfit with the suede and crocodile," says Miranda Boyle, co-owner of Thread. "The heel isn't too high, so it is still comfortable and dresses up the denim."Team Makeover
