Anthony Heimann graduated with an associate’s degree in fashion merchandising and a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Johnson & Wales University in North Miami. He worked for a designer in Florida for four years, during which he won the designer’s choice award at the Miami Beach International Fashion Week.

He started Nicholas Anthony Clothing with his brother, Nicholas, in 2008 while he was still living in Florida. After graduating from college, he decided to return to Casper and focus on his line.

“With the smaller community comes the challenges of resources,” Heimann said. “But it’s more accessible to learn what you’re going to learn and take it to the city.”

He creates one collection a year, instead of the usual two for spring/summer and fall/winter seasons.

“I want them to be timeless, but also something you can wear at any time,” he said.

His 2014 collection, “2nd Reality,” had an alien theme. It debuted at Colorado Fashion Week in October of 2013.

“I think his work needs to be seen, immediately, by a lot of people,” said Justice Kwesi Kwarteng, creative director of Colorado Fashion Week.

Heimann will debut his 2015 collection, which has a mermaid theme, at Colorado Fashion Week in October.

He’ll already be in Colorado by then, because he is going to study fashion design at the Art Institute of Colorado in Denver in the fall.
