OK, OK … we teased the new issue on Monday, but we have to squeeze in one more Real Wedding from the previous summer/fall 2016 issue. After all, Jana and Josh Woodby are celebrating their first anniversary next week; we had to say congratulations!
When planning the wedding, Jana went all-out with a "glittery gold" theme that looked fabulous in the couple's upscale venue.
"I wanted a very elegant event, and I thought of every last thing I could that was gold and sparkly, to be a part of our wedding," Jana says. She and Josh decked out The Bluestone with chargers, votive candles, sequined table runners, candelabras and more … all in gold, of course.
Jana says the most memorable part of the evening, though, was when her family surprised the newlyweds with a flash mob.
"We had no idea what was going on," she says. "My cousin organized the entire thing and they had practiced since August. Even my dad was out there doing the whip nay nay! It was hilarious."
Josh popped the question on Dec. 12 the year prior-that's 12/13/14 for anyone not keeping track-on the first evening of his and Jana's week-long vacation in Riviera Maya, Mexico. "We spent the week celebrating," says Jana.
