Shaina and Michael Mannering's wedding ceremony included Scottish traditions like a bagpipe player and a quaich ceremony. During a Scottish quaich ceremony, you fill the quaich with scotch for the bride; she drinks it and kisses the bottom. The groom then does the same.

"We thought each person took a sip from the same cup and were not prepared to refill the quaich for Michael," says Shaina. "Our wonderful bagpiper had to stall while someone ran back to the room to get scotch for Michael's turn."

At the reception, Michael surprised Shaina by attempting to sing Old Crow Medicine Show's "Wagon Wheel," and was told to stop by Ryan Allgeyer, the best man. It turns out this was a ruse, however; Ryan and Alessia Devecchi, Shaina's cousin, then launched into their own rendition of the song, much to Shaina's delight.
