Three stunning options for two of 2014's biggest trends

While the world of ready-to-wear trends is one of constant innovation and change, the evolution of bridal trends is subtler, more respectful of tradition. But at the fall 2014 bridal shows, designers sent a number of show-stopping and eye-catching gowns down the runway, challenging the bridal status quo and taking things up a notch. From Vera Wang's all-pink collection to an exciting array of dramatic backs and appliqued skirts, 2014 is proving to be a fantastic time for the fashionista who's ready to walk down her own runway. We turned to bridal boutiques for three takes on two of 2014's biggest trends-texture and soft, blushy hues.

Textured Gowns

Jenny Packham's "Rose" gown, from her spring-summer 2014 bridal collection, features a bateau neckline, chicly draped fabric and silver beaded embellishments.

This show-stopping, princess-worthy Oleg Cassini gown, available at David's Bridal, features an intricately beaded bodice with a lace applique.

Galina Signature's trumpet gown from David's Bridal pairs delicate lace with illusion sleeves and a totally fun tulle skirt.

Blush Tones

Hayley Paige's violet-hued "Dori" gown is available at IVY Bridal Studio. It made a statement on the runway, where it was paired with a cropped version of this intricate top.

Oleg Cassini's voluminous tulle ball gown, available at David's Bridal, features a soft champagne hue, a sweetheart neckline and an appliqued skirt.

"Belle" by Jenny Packham is available in ivory, champagne and magnolia, seen here. La Jeune Mariee is Central Ohio's go-to for Packham gowns.
