On Aug. 25, more than 200 people enjoyed the first in a series of events celebrating the Homeless Families Foundation's 25th anniversary. Held at the Dowd Education Center, the evening began with dinner by Cameron Mitchell Catering and desserts provided by the New Albany County Club. Master of ceremonies Andrea Cambern and launch party committee chair Donna Glanzman gave guests a historical look at the foundation; honorary chair Nick Akins and an all-AEP band called teh Power Chords provided music, and an Auction of Hope brought in more than $20,000. In all, the event raised more than $250,000 to support homeless children and their families. Tickets were $100, couples $175. (Photography by Cassandra Glass; IDs courtesy Susan Davis.)
