Though they met in college, Amy and Chris didn't start dating until they were reacquainted some time later. One of their first dates was to Whetstone Park of Roses in Clintonville. They returned there with their dog, and Chris proposed under a secluded gazebo. Their nature-themed wedding featured local farm-picked flowers, mason jar centerpieces and s'mores kits as guest favors. "We had an outdoor fireplace at the reception so guests were able to make actual s'mores," Amy says. A favorite moment from the day happened when the bride's friend, Brandi, grabbed the newlyweds to go look at the harvest moon, "which was in full effect the night of the wedding," Amy says. "I had been so excited about it beforehand and would have completely forgotten had she not been there to remind us to stop and look up."
