It's difficult to imagine Clintonville without Harvest 2.0. The upgraded, country chic version of the German Village favorite boasts a more accessible dining experience (like onsite parking and nearly twice the tables as the original, plus a heated side patio) and an expanded menu that proves Harvest isn't a one-trick pizza pony. Admittedly, we rarely come here to order the signature crisp-crusted pie. Why? With the new location comes a vast kitchen space that allows fresh sandwiches, hearty burgers starring every kind of protein imaginable and-most importantly-fried things to grace the menu. Like hush puppies made with Shagbark cornmeal and, our favorite, soft inside, crispy outside smashed fingerling potatoes that are baked, then fried. Sub in the latter as a side with the Italian Meats sandwich, which wins the award for best use of iceberg lettuce, tossed with the house-made sweet-and-tangy Italian dressing and served warm atop a manageable stack of salami rosa, mortadella, pepperoni, soppressata, Canadian bacon and provolone. Throw in a touch of aioli and more than a dash of oregano, all on a big ol' Omega Bakery roll, and you, too, will forget pizza is their thing. harvestpizzeria.com
