Brothers Stan and Louis Cataland are putting their industry know-how into a funky deli, Cataland Kuzina, in the Albany Place shopping center-the kind of plaza it'd be all too easy to zoom by on North Hamilton Road.

Stan and Louis Cataland are no strangers to the Columbus dining scene. Their father, Max, ran the Aegean Supper Club on Parsons Avenue decades ago. Louis once operated the northern Italian Danny's New York Strip in Upper Arlington. Now, the brothers are putting their industry know-how into a funky deli, Cataland Kuzina, in the Albany Place shopping center-the kind of plaza it'd be all too easy to zoom by on North Hamilton Road.

Slow down, stop in and first order this: the signaturePastrami Reuben($9.50) with house-cured and unusually lean pastrami that's sliced fresh to order. Sauerkraut is made with apples for a topper that's got sharpness but no bite. You'll also find roasted turkey, roasted leg of lamb (their riff on a gyro), and meatballs between slices of fresh bread, as well as seasonal salads and pizza served after 5 p.m. Say the phrase "bite me" during your visit, and you'll be treated to a homemade two-bite cheesecake (the unwilling can pay $1).6457 N.
