Negroni Week returns to Columbus from June 1 to 7, with more than 60 participating bars and restaurants in the city and surrounding 'burbs. Establishments will serve the classic bitter cocktail, as well as must-try negroni riffs (we're still thinking about Curio's 2014 rendition with beet-infused sweet vermouth) throughout the week. A portion of each drink stirred goes to charity. Like last year, the local chapter of the United States Bartenders' Guild has rallied most participants around one cause-the Jack Roth Fund, a local lung cancer research nonprofit. Fittingly, the annual Jack Roth Rock & Run/Walk falls on June 7.

"We're currently making passports that will be found in all participating venues," says Rebecca Monday, bar manager at Curio and Columbus Negroni Week coordinator. "That way, customers can go around and get their passport stamped, and if you send it into Campari, you'll be entered in a raffle to receive a gift basket." Visit negroniweek.com for a full list of participating Columbus-area bars and restaurants.
