This month, Worthington's Concerts on the Green series (held in the northwest portion of the Village Green at the corner of High Street and Dublin-Granville Road) hosts Scioto Station (July 5), Phil Clark & The Soul (July 12), the Andy Shaw Band (July 19) and "Songs at the Center" (July 26) featuring three local singer-songwriters. The Downtown Live series kicks off July 9 with a performance by Cleveland-via-Columbus band the Floorwalkers. Angela Perley & The Howlin' Moons (July 16), Mojoflo (July 23) and Popgun (July 30) fill out the series. The 32nd annual Sundays at Scioto series features eight Sunday night performances, four of which are in July. Don't miss Lt. Dan's New Legs (July 5), Jacked Up (July 12), The Rad Trads (July 19) and Socks in the Frying Pan (July 16). Each concert begins at 7 p.m. Admission is free, but donations are welcome. Organized and supported by the German Village Garten Club and Hausfrau Haven, the 3rd Sunday Concert Series is a community effort, says Mark Weiss of the German Village Society. Performances are-you guessed it-the third Sunday of every month from June to September (in the case of bad weather, performances are held in the German Village Meeting Haus). Enjoy views of the Scioto River and the Scioto Mile Fountain at these riverside Friday evening concerts at the Bicentennial Park Performing Arts Pavilion. Sammy DeLeon y su Orquesta (July 10), James Cotton with the Mark May Band (July 24) and The Spikedrivers (July 31) perform in July.
