Last winter, while looking through pictures from the first Taste the Future event in 1989, Pam Bishop and her staff noticed something. There were also a few chefs who didn't have their own spots yet, but during the next 25 years, they would eventually leave their mark on the local dining scene. This year's fundraiser will honor six culinary trailblazers who were present at the first Taste the Future: Kamal Boulos of the Refectory Restaurant and Bistro, Sue Doody of Lindey's, Cameron Mitchell of Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, Paul Panzera of Paul's Fifth Avenue Restaurant & Catering, Kent Rigsby of Rigsby's Kitchen and Hubert Seifert of Spagio.
