The 92-minute film takes a closer look at the standard American diet-especially the fad of eating a low-fat diet, which the film claims has led to a rise in the consumption of sugar. It's a simplified look at how the way our society eats is related to obesity and related diseases like diabetes. Narrated by Katie Couric, who is also a producer alongside Laurie David (who won an Oscar for "An Inconvenient Truth"), the film takes the stance that "everything we've been told about food and exercise for the past 30 years is dead wrong" and through expert testimony and stories of obese children looks to change the way we eat forever.

As a gesture of support, Gateway will remove all candy from display at the concessions, and instead feature fresh fruit and trail mix from local meal-to-go company Fit Food.
