Over the next two Sundays, Angela Theado and her crew from The Coop will take over the kitchen at Alana's Food & Wine. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 1 and June 8, their pop-up will offer brunch a la carte, with prices ranging from about $6 to $16 per item.

Theado is no stranger to the Campus restaurant; she served as sous chef at Alana's for nearly three years. And while she still may dish out some Coop favorites, like the Yak Burger and French Omelet Sandwich, the pop-ups allow Theado the opportunity to work with one of her favorite ingredients: goose eggs. (Expect deviled goose eggs and goose eggs benedict among the offerings). "Nobody's really playing around with [goose eggs]," she says. "They're much more decadent and have a richer yolk-and are probably three times the size of a standard chicken egg."

Alana Shock will still be handling beverages during brunch hours, including coffee and wine. To make reservations for either brunch, contact Theado at 614-581-9353.

While The Coop will not be opening its planned restaurant on Indianola Avenue, you can catch their food truck at Tacocraft Cooperative's Tacocraft art sale in Grandview Heights June 14, as well as ComFest later in the month.
