Dublin gastropub 101 Beer Kitchen announces plans to add a second location in Gahanna late this year.

When 101 Beer Kitchen opened in October 2012, there was no shortage of praise from diners, beer-drinkers and media. The gastropub concept had not yet hit its stride in the city, and so locals loved the concept that offered casual, yet chef-driven fare, a smart, ever-rotating beer list and all at family-friendly prices. (Owner Thad and Jessica Kittrell have four young kids of their own, so they know something of the latter.)

After the unexpected popularity, a suprise at least that came to the Kittrell's, they toyed with the idea of opening a second 101 Beer Kitchen to cater to patrons on the other side of town. Today, East Siders have their answer as a second gastropub is planned to open in Gahanna. The new location will open in the former Blockbuster space at349 Stoneridge Lane at teh corner of Morse and Hamilton in the Stone Ridge Plaza. 101 Beer Kitchen is headed for a spot of town that's been a popular pick for new eateries, including the recently opened B Spot, a burger and beer joint from celebrity chef Michael Symon.

The hope is to open 101 Beer Kitchen Gahanna late 2014, early 2015, and to offer a menu and setup similar to the Dublin locale.
