Cleveland chef Jonathon Sawyer will be in Columbus this weekend signing copies of his new cookbook, "Noodle Kids."
Cleveland chef Jonathon Sawyer has made no secret of his passion for great ramen. He was so hungry for a great noodle shop in his hometown that the James Beard Award finalist finally opened his own in 2011. Later this year, he plans to launch a Columbus version of his beloved Noodlecat.
For those who can't wait until then, you can catch Sawyer this weekend. The father of two will be in town on Saturday signing copies of his new cookbook, "Noodle Kids." The book offerings 50 creative recipes from around the globe that are designed to get the kids involved. The idea is to teach kids how to prepare their own meals and to make healthier food choices.
"Kids can be picky eaters," Sawyer said in a release. "By involving them in meal-prep and creation, the idea of eating unfamiliar foods can be less intimidating."
Recipes include dishes like the ramen grilled cheese sandwich-a must-make dish with your kids Sawyer told me when we spoke earlier this year.
The vivacious chef will be at Barnes and Noble at Easton from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 4. You can find more information on his book here, and addition details on the book signing here.
