As if you needed an excuse to visit the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, how's apps, drinks and dessert-after dark? The 45th annual Zoofari fundraiser will be the biggest yet, says Patty Peters, the zoo's vice president of community relations. From 7:30 p.m. to midnight on June 20, nearly 100 local vendors will set up shop throughout zoo grounds for this adults-only affair. Guests can expect ice cream from Graeter's, cocktails from Watershed Distillery, quinoa salad from Hudson 29 and Asian-glazed chicken from Weiland's Market. Half a dozen music acts will perform across several stages, as well, including The Reaganomics, Jason Quicksall and The Street Players. Tickets are $99 per person through June 7 and $150 per person through June 19. VIP tickets are also available, which include early entry, valet parking and access to special VIP areas for $300 per person. Entry includes three drink tickets. Extra drink tickets will be available for $4 apiece or can be preordered in packs of five for $16. Don't mind putting in a little elbow grease? Volunteer for a three-hour shift, and you'll have the rest of the night to indulge at a discounted rate of $50.columbuszoo.org
