Ring in 2019 at one of the many delicious Columbus eateries planning a special New Year's Eve dinner or party. Below are a few highlights from the chefs who are planning ahead. Reservations are required, and longtime establishments report that their parties quickly fill up.

The Keep restaurant & Liquor Bar

The restaurant will offer a chef-inspired, five-course, prix fixe menu for $125 per person. Selections will include raw bar options such as freshly shucked oysters, poached lobster and king crab, as well as entrées such as chorizo-dusted diver scallops and American wagyu sourced from Kentucky's Black Hawk Farms. The evening will include party favors reminiscent of “The Great Gatsby” and a champagne toast at midnight.

The Refectory Restaurant & Bistro

Chef Richard Blondin will craft a celebratory meal for $115 per person that will start with an amuse-bouche and end with petits fours. In each of the five courses in between, patrons will have a choice of two special selections. At midnight, party favors and sparkling wine will be offered to guests for ringing in the new year.

Mitchell's Ocean Club

In addition to its regular menu, the restaurant will offer a broiled sea bass over lobster risotto, served with roasted red pepper cream and fennel herb salad, which will be priced at $56. Recommended wine pairings include the William Fevre Chablis and a blanc de noirs by Domaine Chandon.

Veritas and The Citizens Trust

Chef Joshua Dalton will present an eight-course New Year's Eve tasting menu beginning at 5 p.m., priced at $125 per person. At the restaurant's cocktail lounge upstairs, The Citizens Trust, a ticketed party will begin at 9 p.m.

Wolf's Ridge Brewing

In the main dining room, a special four-course tasting menu with optional beer pairings will be offered for $65 per person. The taproom will operate as usual. In the brewery's event space, The Hickory Room, a party will start at 9 p.m. with live music, hors d'oeuvres, glasses of punch and drink tokens for revelers ($60 per party ticket). In all of the brewery's spaces, guests will receive a complimentary Champagne toast at midnight.

Vaso

Tables at the Dublin rooftop eatery can be reserved for the duration of the evening for a food-and-drink minimum of $125 per person. The restaurant will offer diners several New Year's Eve menu specials and a Champagne toast at midnight. General admission tickets, priced at $50, will guarantee guests two cocktails and the midnight toast.

G. Michael's Bistro & Bar

In addition to its regular menu, the restaurant will once again offer patrons a special, three-course New Year's Eve low country prix fixe menu. Priced at $55 per person, offerings last year included a crab cake with hot slaw and Creole butter sauce, pork cutlets with black-eyed peas, as well as a flat iron steak with poivre sauce and pimento cheese.

Lindey's

Celebrate the new year in style by making reservations early at this quaint German Village establishment. Lindey's three-course menu, not including beverages, tax and gratuity, will be available for $72. Reservations launch the day after Thanksgiving and the restaurant quickly fills up for this night of festivity.
