Harvey & Ed’s, the Short North delicatessen from Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, will close next week, just a few months after its first anniversary. According to a press release, the restaurant will shut down Tuesday, Oct. 29, and be redeveloped into a new CMR concept, expected to open in the spring. The company plans to reassign current employees to other CMR locations.

Harvey & Ed’s, CMR’s modern take on a classic Jewish deli, opened in June 2018 at 698 N. High St., filling the space that had housed Rigsby’s Kitchen for 29 years. CMR owns six other restaurant ventures in the Short North, including Martini Modern Italian, Marcella’s, The Pearl, The Guild House, Del Mar SoCal Kitchen and Lincoln Social Rooftop.
