Ty Ginger Asian Bistro
5689 Woerner Temple Road, Dublin
After hiring a dim sum chef in 2018, Tyler Ma’s restaurant has become a go-to destination for its handcrafted offerings. Ty Ginger’s weekend dim sum brunches, featuring cart service, are popular, and a smaller dim sum menu is now available on weekdays.
Hong Kong House
1831 W. Henderson Road, Northwest Columbus
Known for its excellent Sichuan fare, the roomy restaurant added this staple of Cantonese cuisine last year, complete with a photo-heavy menu. Just point and order.
Helen Asian Kitchen
1070 E. Dublin-Granville Road, North Side
Owner Helen Jiao, long admired for her restaurant’s spicy stir-fried Sichuan cauliflower, added dim sum to her daily menu last year. Go for small bites such as jian dui (sesame balls), har gow (shrimp dumplings) and lo mai gai (sticky rice in lotus leaf).
Kirin Noodle Bar
4227 N. High St., Clintonville
In December, this casual eatery replaced Chatime in Clintonville. Customers can order from a small menu that includes xiaolongbao (soup dumplings) and shumai (open-topped dumplings) as well as beef noodle soup.
