Each week, we feature a couple from our latest issue.
Sometimes, sweet and simple can have the biggest impact. Case in point: Brittany and Benjamin Corbit, who were friends at work before dating and eventually saying, “we do” in a darling outdoor ceremony in Orient, Ohio.
For Brittany, the highlight of the ceremony was when she and Benjamin braided their unity cross … though she admits the 90-degree temperature was probably more memorable. Other key moments in the big day included the father-daughter dance, which took the form a video in honor of Brittany’s late father.
The rustic-themed even was about as casual as they come: Benjamin and his groomsmen wore jeans, Brittany and her bridesmaids wore cowboy boots, and everyone dined on barbecue pork, beans, cheesy potatoes and salad for dinner. If you ask us, the Corbits are proof-positive that you don’t need to spend a fortune to have a lovely and meaningful wedding ceremony!
