Bridal events in Columbus
There are a few events at wedding-industry shops this weekend, and we’re here to tell you all about them!
First and foremost, Worthington Jewelers is hosting a major estate jewelry event this weekend only. Head to the shop today before 8 p.m. and tomorrow between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. to browse—and try on!—hundreds of pieces at a variety of price points. There’s vintage and antique jewelry from the Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian, art nouveau, art deco and midcentury periods—perfect for the bride who wants something a little different for her “something old.” Plus, the shop is hosting VIP reception with wine and hors d’oeuvres from 5 to 8 p.m. today only. Visit Worthington Jewelers’ website for more information, and RSVP to the VIP reception on its Facebook event.
Need a dress? Check out the sample sale at Wendy’s Bridal, which lasts through the month of May. You can save 30 to 70 percent off sample gowns as the shop clears out inventory to make room for the new fall lines. And because it’s a sample sale, you can take your gown home same-day—no ordering necessary. Call 614-336-9100, ext. 5, to make an appointment, or make one online here.
Head to Macy’s before Monday to cash in on its big Friends and Family sale, with up to 30 percent off throughout the store. Snag that Adrianna Papell rehearsal dinner dress or a cute LBD for your bachelorette party, grab a stellar suit for the big day, scope out your wedding-day heels or flats, or stock up on a special-occasion fragrance. Get all the sale info here.
This weekend also will see a Bohindi pop-up bead bar at On Paper. On Sunday from noon to 3 p.m., head to this Short North stationer to design and make your own energy-infused beaded bracelet with Bohinidi’s gemstone beads. Details here.
Finally, be sure to check out our Instagram tomorrow, when Worthington Jewelers takes over. Expect lots of shiny bling to fill our feed!
