Each week, we feature a couple from our latest issue.
Emily Cutright Kopco and Jeff Kopco planned a backyard wedding for a year, but a rainy forecast forced them to change their plans three days before the ceremony. Embodying the phrase, “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade,” Jeff found a new venue; Emily says that one of the best things about their wedding was that none of their plans actually happened.
Emily and Jeff danced in the rain and celebrated the best day of their lives in an intimate, family-only ceremony at The Kitchen in German Village. The new venue brought a few surprise guests when someone walking by the restaurant’s window while on a FaceTime call stopped and shared the sweet ceremony with the other caller. They say rain brings good luck, and Emily and Jeff had plenty of both.
