Local wedding vendors you should know
No, this isn’t the Café of ricotta pancake and plant-based burger fame. NorthStar Golf Club is a semiprivate golf club that opened in Sunbury in 2007 and boasts first-class service at an affordable price. Sales and marketing director Alisha Yoder serves as the wedding coordinator for the full-service facility; she told Columbus Weddings more about what to expect from a wedding at NorthStar.
Columbus Weddings:Let’s start with you—what drew you to wedding planning?
Alisha Yoder: I have been working in the industry since I was in high school, and there is a simple reason for it: I LOVE IT! Being able to make a bride’s day what she envisioned, and keeping it low-stress for her and her family, is what I specialize in. I treat every reception as if it were my own and make sure every detail is handled. I have worked hundreds of weddings, and I can’t imagine doing anything else.
And what can you tell us about NorthStar?
We take pride in being an affordable destination, and our golf course is complemented by a beautiful clubhouse, patio and pool facility. We have a wonderful space for both small and large events, and we specialize in rehearsal dinners and bridal and baby showers, as well as the perfect wedding.
What sets you apart from other golf clubs in Central Ohio?
Everything! Our location is ideal, service is top-notch and our staff will handle and execute every detail. We have beautiful scenery for pictures, and if you have read any review about NorthStar, you’ll know we have the best food!
What can couples expect when they book their wedding at NorthStar?
The best experience and prompt responses from start to finish, with as much or as little help as you need. We are flexible and always go above and beyond for our couples. We deliver a real relationship and a perfect day.
What’s something about reception venues that you wish more people knew?
That most spaces can transform to your theme. You don’t have to rent a barn to look rustic. Our space has looked shabby-chic, modern, elegant and vintage, to name a few—all based on the decorations.
