Each week, we feature a couple from our latest issue.
When Noelia and Christopher Mobley married, their wedding theme—love is simple—resonated throughout the no-frills ceremony and reception. The pair met preaching as Jehovah’s Witnesses, when mutual friends introduced them. And while their wedding theme centered on simplicity, Christopher’s proposal took a bit of planning—a full month, in fact.
During a trip to visit Noelia’s family in Boston, Christopher planned a dinner featuring all of her favorite foods at her sister’s house. There, he got down on one knee and popped the question in Spanish.
Just three months later, the two wed in a day that focused on personal connection. Highlights of the day, Noelia says, include dancing with her dad, hearing heartfelt messages of love from guests and “throwing cake at each other!”
