Aiden & Grace took first place in the Rentals category.

Brides looking for unique items to complement and complete the look of their wedding ceremonies and receptions look to Aiden & Grace Specialty Rentals. With more than 10 years in the weddings and events industry, Aiden & Grace’s diverse collection ranges from modern and luxurious to bohemian-style items, says owner Meleka Jolliff.

Aiden & Grace is a sister company to MMJ Events, a premier luxury, full-service event design studio. “We saw a need for unique rentals that we couldn’t find for our clients anywhere else in the city, thus, Aiden & Grace was born,” Jolliff says. “Whether you want to style your event yourself using our pieces, or you need a design tip or two, we are here to help.” The studio delivers items within a 30-mile radius, or clients can pick up pieces themselves.

In business since December 2016, the studio in Downtown Columbus offers unique bar options, lounge groupings, backdrops, tabletop items and more. “Our couples come to us when they are ready to level up their design,” she says. It’s all about the details, large and small—vases, textures, pillows and lighting will pull together a theme.

Jolliff’s best advice for brides-to-be is to invest in a wedding planner or day-of coordinator. “It will make your day so much more enjoyable for you, your fiancé, as well as your family,” she says.

When it comes to finding a theme or design that makes a statement, Jolliff offers this: “Don’t be afraid to use pops of color or a pattern, and use Pinterest as your inspiration, but make it your own.” Additionally, put some thought into the bar area. “The bar is where most of your guests will hang out, so you’ll want to make sure it looks its best,” she advises.
