Strongwater took first place in the Reception, Industrial/Urban category.

Exuding an urban-industrial feel and situated inside a century-old warehouse in East Franklinton, the private events arm of Strongwater Food + Spirits provides the perfect backdrop for a wedding reception—and for snapping lots of photos to capture the memories.

Rustic walls line the interior gallery, which features original sawtooth window skylights that provide natural light by day and warm bistro lighting by night. The adjoining annex features a hand-laid bar and access to an open-air courtyard draped in grapevines that inch their way throughout the exposed brick-and-cement walls and ceiling.

This venue also includes private entrances, day-of coordination support, two wedding suites, ample complimentary parking and indoor and outdoor ceremony space for up to 200 guests.

“Strongwater strives to be the forerunner in communal gathering in the growing Franklinton arts community and proudly employs a team of wedding professionals that strive to ensure your wedding is a dream come true,” says Molly Blundred, event manager.

Strongwater goes all-out to be inclusive and accommodating. “We love the opportunity to flex our creative skills to make our clients’ days as personal, unique and special as they are,” she says.

Strongwater adheres to a philosophy of transparency. “We have designed our pricing to be inclusive to ensure that it is easy to comprehend, and so that our clients are not surprised with added fees or expensive upgrades at a later date,” Blundred explains.

Alleviate stress that goes into wedding planning by being unafraid to ask for help, advises Blundred. “Rely on your support system. Your venue, coordinators, florists and caterers can be a valuable resource when trying to decide what will work best on your special day.”

When it comes to the big day, “assign special projects to family and friends to ensure everyone has time to enjoy the day, especially you,” she adds.
