Classic & Exotic Car Show, 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 21
On the grounds of Green Lawn Abbey, the first annual Classic & Exotic Car Show will welcome gearheads and guests alike for a fundraiser benefitting the building’s restoration. In addition to the cars, there will be food, music and cocktails, as well as a private Champagne brunch inside with a silent auction and tours of the historic abbey. Dine Originals Week, through Sept. 22
Dine Originals Columbus, a nonprofit that works to sustain and promote locally owned and operated independent restaurants, invites the city to “dine local” during its annual restaurant week. Dine Originals’ member restaurants are offering special prix fixe menus throughout the week. Participating restaurants include The Top Steak House, Due Amici, G. Easton Fashion Night, Friday, Sept. 20
Typically held on a Thursday, the shopping and entertainment district’s 20th anniversary prompted moving its premier fashion event to the 20th day of September. Expect strolling models showcasing the latest fall fashions, all available at Easton, plus vendors, music and more. Returning this year is the VIP Wine & Design area, where Fashion Week Columbus designers will showcase their creations as attendees sip bubbly and snack on hors d’oeuvres. eastontowncenter.comIris Dement, Friday, Sept. 20 Iris Dement grew up in an Arkansas Pentecostal Christian family where singing was a daily activity.
