What are you looking for when you go out?

I like good booze, good food and good music. Good bar food is important to me. Everyone has booze, not everyone has good food.

And the music on the jukebox has to be really good. If I don't like the music at a bar, I won't go there.

What do you drink?

Usually good vodka - Grey Goose, Three Olives, Ciroc, Van Gogh. My staple drink is Three Olives Cherry vodka with Sprite. It's kind of like a Shirley Temple.

Where do you go for happy hour?

Bar 23 for $5 martinis. The Mango Martini is my favorite. The Pop Rocks Martini and Key Lime Pie Martini are really good, too.

When I stop in, it's after work or early enough in the evening that it's not extremely crowded. I just like a low-key, relaxed atmosphere.

The food is good, too - I love their paninis and the garlic-tossed chips. We always eat their cheese skewers every time we're there.

Where else do you find good bar food?

Bon Vie's Bar Bites are so good, and they're only $2.95! I love the Roquefort Frites with horseradish and blue cheese.

Their bartender Danny is my favorite. I'll ask him to make a "lemonade thingy." It's lemonade and whatever he decides to put in it. It's always a different color - sometimes it's yellow, blue, pink. Sometimes it's got fruit in it, sometimes it doesn't. But it's always good.

Anywhere else?

O'Reilly's food is really good. Their potato skins are from scratch, not frozen.

And it's just really relaxed over there. Some people may walk in and not expect much from it, but it's an incredible place with just a very comfortable atmosphere. You could go there in your pajamas and nobody would bat an eyelash.

Surly Girl's brunch on the weekend is fabulous. Those huge burritos with the chorizo-spiked sausage gravy - so good. I drink the French mimosa, which has the raspberry in it. You can never go wrong with a pink drink.
