Theater: "The Color of 'Red'"

This weekend dancers and actors will take to the stage as a form of activism. Statistics show African-Americans are disproportionately affected by HIV/AIDs, according to "Color of 'Red's" organizers, and they hope their one-evening-only performance will prompt people to wake up to that fact.

"The Color of 'Red'" combines theater and dance with an educational message that remembers those lost and recognizes the grieving and hopeful. It's put on by SOURCE, a collaboration between local artists Danita Jones, Patrick Moore and Gamal Brown.
