Staff Pick: Crafts Gone Wild

No, there probably won't be much lifting of shirts at Wild Goose Creative's indie craftacular Saturday. But you can craft shirts to your heart's content in the Procrastinators' Costume Corner, perfect for those who left their Halloween getups for the last minute. There will also be lots of get-your-hands-dirty interactive crafting, tons of handmade wares for sale (like cozy hats and scarves from Crafty Beavers, pictured) and plenty of how-to demos. Veteran canner Laurin Arnold will walk amateur gardeners through the process of canning fruits and veggies, and attendees can learn how to make flower vases out of empty beer bottles or gift bows out of recycled paper.
