Staff Pick: Hit and Run Happy Hour

A monthly arts and crafts shopping event, Hit and Run removes all circumstances prone to making me avoid things like this.

"There's none of that underlying pressure for the patrons to feel like they're obligated to buy something or talk to the artists," said founder Daniel Colvin. "And there are no artists giving you the please-buy-my-art puppy dog eyes."

Add BYOB, $5 massages and live music, and avoiding this event is out of the question. This marks 2011's first Hit and Run, which will be held the third Wednesday of every month and feature work from Etsy Team Columbus artists. Expect everything from cute crafts to handmade jewelry. So even without the pressure to buy anything, you probably will.
