Exhibit: Photography Exhibition at CS Gallery
Photographers show us things we see every day in a new light or voice. Sometimes they frame mysterious moments in a way that make them seem even more elusive or fragile.
All this is on display at the CS Gallery's "Photography Exhibition," which opened last weekend. See 11 artists' visions through the lens, like Rebecca Cummings' "The Barber's Chair," shot in the rumored-to-be-haunted Eastern State Penitentiary in Pennsylvania, and Amy Leibrand's foggy series of herself in front of the camera, a study dissecting whom she may or may not be.
This exhibition also marks the gallery's first Roscoe Award competition, a people's choice contest. After viewing the works, visitors can vote for their favorite photographs. CS Gallery will give a cash prize to the artist who gets the most votes.
