The Mad Men rules: We are who we pretend to be

"Mad Men" might not be the ratings force "The Walking Dead" is for AMC, but its cultural significance ranks right up there with zombies. Even locally, we found stores and barbershops alike are flush with requests for products and looks that mimic the 1960s aesthetic of the popular show about advertising. So, we did what any self-respecting journalism outfit would do: Drink ourselves silly. We're getting ahead of ourselves though. The idea, initially, was to undergo a simple "Mad Men" inspired makeover, focusing on local businesses, booze and products. Then the idea came up that we should try to drink like the characters on the show, you know, for research purposes. The results? Well, you'll have to read on to see what we learned. The following are our own set of rules if you, too, are interested in adopting a "Mad Men" lifestyle. Hint: You might not want to try the day drinking at the office bit.
