Forget dragging your friends out to look at your sleek new purchase. Columbus bike enthusiasts have a more artistic way to show off their love of two wheels at the Pinchflat Bicycle Poster Blowout.

The third annual celebration and exhibit features limited-edition posters from local artists. These one-of-a-kind, spoke-riddled posters are inspired by cycling, with unique twists from their designers and illustrators.

The last Pinchflat showcase featured art starring mustached retro riders, wheeled visual illusions and motivational posters. There will be 30 fresh poster designs this year, so even past attendees can find something new to add to their collection. Each poster is $30.

A Yay Bikes! ride to the exhibition opening party at Wild Goose Creative this Saturday pushes off from Goodale Park at 2 p.m. (and will loop back to Paradise Garage later in the evening). Columbus cycling aficionados can share stories of their favorite local routes with an interactive map.

Graphic designers won't be the only artists showing their bicycle love for the day. Local musicians will strum their appreciation, and food and coffee vendors from around Columbus will bring sweet treats for tasting.

A printing workshop that will give spectators a glimpse into the artists' design processes and, for a younger crowd, coloring pages inspired by the artists will give a fun first-hand look into designing art.

Raffles, T-shirts, bike checks and more cycling festivities will happen throughout the day to keep things rolling.

The event is free, and posters are also available online for those who miss the gallery show.

For the first time, there will also be a Pinchflat preview party on Friday, May 3. For $10, grab some food from Commonwealth Kitchen, check out the exhibit early and have the first chance to buy the posters and meet the artists.
