Arts preview: All the DRAUMA deets you need

Jackie Mantey, Columbus Alive

DRAUMA is similar to its big brother party, the annual fetish festival TRAUMA, but it's "a little less freak, a lot more chic," said Laz Picciano, who scheduled the acts for this year's party.

Those acts will fill up the sprawling two stories at the Bluestone with art installations by Kickin' It, photography by We Are Glitterati, acrobatics by two local aerial groups (10 p.m.), a multi-sensory fashion show with looks by six designers and hair boutiques (11 p.m.), and music by 13 local acts and world-famous electronica mastermind Mord Fustang. Drag queen Nina West hosts.

"DRAUMA is about celebrating the bounty of beauty found right here in Columbus and having an amazingly fun time while doing so," Picciano said. "If you have ever been to TRAUMA you know the overwhelming sense of love, acceptance, and appreciation felt by all attendees. This night will have that same vibe, just a bit more fabulous."

Tickets are $20 presale, $25 at the door, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the nonprofit Columbus Youth Guild.
