Arts previews: Historical and contemporary artwork on display at Ohio Made Festival

Jackie Mantey, Columbus Alive

What better place to have a festival celebrating Ohio art and craft than Ohio Village, the Ohio Historical Society's re-creation of a 19th century American town?

At Ohio Made, amid the attraction's replica schoolhouse, pharmacy and funeral parlor, will be artworks by 15 living Ohio artists, as well as demonstrations in blacksmithing, metalworking, woodturning, pottery and printmaking from local arts organizations The Cultural Arts Center, The Idea Foundry and Phoenix Rising.

Fifty Ohio artists and vendors will be selling their work inside and outside the village.

The Ohio Art League curated the lineup, so rest assured the artwork will combine historical implications and contemporary consciousness.
