Old Worthington will receive an influx of the new when Igloo Letterpress opens a retail shop, book bindery and production studio downtown later this month.

The new shop, located a stone's throw from Igloo's current printing studio and housed inside the historic Snow House, will allow the business to expand on its current lineup, offering more bookbinding classes and an increased selection of locally crafted jewelry, greeting cards, art, posters and assorted home décor.

This expansion comes at an ideal time for Igloo, which had started to outgrow its current home at 39 W. New England Ave. In a press release announcing the expansion, the company noted the store has long been "full to the rafters with eight printing presses … hundreds of drawers of wood and lead type and stacks of other equipment, supplies and paper,"

Igloo Letterpress will mark the opening of its new space during a 4th Anniversary Bazaar and Snow House Grand Opening, which is scheduled to take place Saturday, Sept. 21, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

The current printing studio will remain open to the public, and will continue to host classes, tours and private letterpress parties.
