Columbus-based Lisa M. Cliff, a lifelong artist known for her bright and lively acrylic paintings, is branching out to mixed media for her latest exhibit by using colorful glass pebbles and buttons to create representational and abstract art.

Clift’s goal is often to honor the past while celebrating the future, rooted in the African idea of sankofa, which has come to define much of her process in creating art.

The exhibit has a closing reception 6-8 p.m. April 3.
