Exhibit preview: Gender dynamics and reimagined paintings on display in "Liz Morrison & Jill Raymundo"
This exhibit features two artists presenting considerably different works, but both are enthralling.
Liz Morrison paints intricate patterns inspired by medieval manuscripts, and like those medieval artists, Morrison is lacing satire into the work - this time to explore gender dynamics.
Jill Raymundo embarks on a personal journey by reimagining her grandfather's (Félix Resurrección Hidalgo) neo-classical paintings - several of which were burned in WWII - through modern techniques and representations.
