Last year CCAD introduced this day-long symposium that explores broader sociocultural ideas through the context of sculpture.

This year’s event has presenters comprised of studio artists and college faculty examining issues of race, gender and social justice, while also revealing the varied aspects of their creative process.

This year’s keynote speaker is renowned multimedia (video, performance and installation) artist Sharon Hayes whose work is an ongoing investigation into various intersections between history, politics and gender roles.
