A group of Ohio State students will showcase work from a fall project that was created using unconventional cameras, including pinhole cameras, plastic lens cameras and peel-apart film. The class Alternative Camera Systems, taught by Department of Art Lecturer Stephen Takacs, asked students to create a camera around an obsolete piece of equipment, and the exhibit features both the cameras and images produced by each. The cameras were designed as film-based equipment; the resulting photography is both digitally printed as well as pieces created in the darkroom. An opening reception is 7-9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9.
