Jean Kirsten has long examined the works of notable dance artist and theorist Rudolf Laban. Laban (1879-1958) was a renowned German dance theorist, educator and choreographer, who invented the dance notation system Labanotation. Inspired by Laban’s theories, Kirsten is exploring the art of movement by showcasing a series of screen prints culled from the 400-plus images he captured while studying Laban Movement Analysis at London Metropolitan University.
